Intertribal Canoe Journey 2008 Location: La Conner, Washington, United States La Conner, Washington Starts at: 9:00 AM This is not an all day event Description: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm "Paddle to Lummi 2008". This intertribal canoe journey will be traveling the centuries-old traditional highways of the ancestors. The canoe journey has been held annually since 1989's "Paddle to Seattle". Up to 80 canoes, arriving from as far away as Bella Coola, B.C. will arrive on the shores of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community the morning of Saturday, July 28. Swinomish is the next-to-last stop on the journey. This event is open to the public and is a moving and educational experience for all. More Information
