Okay... Here is the deal. I am in the Navy and I have a little over two and a half years until retirement.

I am a voracious reader, I can finish a novel in a couple of hours if I really get into it. I've got piles of comics everywhere, and even more lost somewhere. I have scientific journals, Wired, and Maxim lying around as well. I've been known to go without sleeping or eating because I'm engrossed in a new book.

The hunger for the printed word is only rivaled by my hunger for food. Hence, I've signed up for a culinary arts school. My biggest inspiration to cook is to feed myself and someone else, because even though I know how good I am, I like hearing it from others too.

I'm also a big fan of video games. I've only missed one PAX, I own every Nintendo system save the Virtual Boy (only because I can't find one), and one of my favorite t-shirts has the Mega Man jump sprite. I also play table top RPGs, though less and less as life makes getting a good group of players together more and more difficult.

I love things that give me a rush such as skydiving, snowboarding, or going really fast on my motorcycle. I'll listen to anything music wise, but prefer rock and country with a little rap and hip hop sprinkled in there. It all really depends on what I feel like. I try to stay away from drama as much as possible because I'm not in highschool, and I don't need it in my life. Anything outdoors is good, especially fishing, boating or camping.

What I'm not:
I'm not a wallet. I want a girl that is self-supported and independent. If you want a man that will pay your rent, or pay for every single thing keep walking. Don't get me wrong I'll pick up the tab for dinner and what not, but I'm not paying your bills.

I'm not a punching bag: If you are looking for a man that is going to jump at your every beck and call, thats not me. I can be head strong and stubborn, and I'm not a slave. So if you are looking for a man you can run all over...not me lol

Loyalty, family and friends are a huge part of my life. I want someone I can trust, and that can trust me. I am not looking for an insecure person. We all have insecurities, I'm talking about people that need constant reassurance that they are whatever. If I can't feel like I trust you, then I'll walk away. I hate cheaters pretty much above all else, and I won't stand for it.

I enjoy cooking, gardening (mostly taking care of my orchard), watchings sports and particularly mixed martial arts (live is the best), walking/jogging trails, photography, fishing and hunting. Goals...to retire at 55 financially stable, to count my blessings and love my family and friends...live every day like it's your last...tommorow is not promised. Musical taste depends on my mood. I like anything from Metallica to Eminem to top 40 and even a little country.

I have been living a hectic life in the Navy for what seems an eternity right about now. New here on Whidbey Island just looking to find my happy place.

-I like play cards and games, I have been playing a lot of spades recently.

-I have no interest in anything any celebrity/musician/etc is doing, wearing, saying, etc.
-I am very fussy about the shoes I buy. (weird to admit)
-I use chapstick or blistex quite often.
-I like quotes and a book called Wise Words and Quotes was the last book I bought.
-I like chicken noodle soup.
-I am mostly a right-wing nut job, but must admit I'm all over the place depending on the issue.
-I like to sleep, and will often sleep up to 12 hours on a day off. Also sometimes there is nothing better than an afternoon nap on the couch.
-I don't like wearing sunglasses or hats.
-I don't like wearing watches or rings.
-I really should go camping.
-I have lived in so many places from negative 30 degrees in the winter to 125 in the summer and I must say I despise when it humid more than any other weather. Rain is growing high on the dislike list since moving to the great NorthWest.
-I really need to take a vacation.
-I feel like I am constantly tired. I am either working too much or not sleeping well or enough.

I am a Taurus therefore down to earth and pretty well grounded I don't expect miracles but I do appreciate a good sense of humor, I don't criticize other peoples style of life or religion that is what makes life interesting. I am part Irish part English and two parts American Indian, (Cocthaw and Blackfoot) which is not an easy combination of heritage; the Irish have a temper the English want to rule every thing and the Indian want back what is rightfully theirs. This really throws things off; The Cocthaw Indians being hunters and basket weavers and working with beads then there is the Blackfoot Indian which was a warrior tribe that didn't like anyone except themselves and what they could pilfer from a raid.

The things I have learned through the years are 1.) To control my temper, 2.) No matter what you try to rule there is always an uprising, 3.) I can survive doing artwork, leather work and hunting, 4.) You can't go into town pilfer a squaw and not suffer the consequences.

The capability of learning from my mistakes has made me a much better person and the learning is something I hope never ends, I read Journal entries on OKC and learn little things about each writer and it helps me to know them better as individuals and in turn helps me grow, I may not be the brightest crayola in the box but I do have a pretty good understanding of people.

I would like to get back to homesteading some property some where, (I did it once for a year outside of Seward Alaska) but due to family problems had to come back to the lower 48. I have spent a few years as a fabricator, which means if they don't sell it or you can't find it then I make it. My main occupation is being an Electronics Technician, Computer hardware and software technician, and inventor. (But I haven't invented anything cool yet).
